Peter Quinn founded CharterSearch, Inc. in 1987 and developed the firm into the nation's largest air charter transportation service company for collegiate sports travel providing charters to over 100 university teams annually.
Peter's background includes 25 years within the aviation and air transport industry. His career began in 1976 as a ramp/customer service agent for Southern Airways in St. Louis. During this time period Peter attended college and obtained a degree in Aviation Management.
In 1979 Southern Airways merged with North Central Airlines to become Republic Airlines. Peter was immediately assigned to the Flight Operations Department of Republic Airlines.
In 1982 Peter accepted the position as Director of Flight Control for the start up carrier Air 1 Airlines. Air 1 was a B727 operation and Peter's responsibilities included managing the flight dispatch department, instructing for pilot ground schools and a task member for aircraft operation procedures.
In 1985 Peter served as both Director of Flight Control and Director of Customer Service for Trans World Express. Trans World Express was a Part 135 air carrier and a TWA regional partner. Peter's responsibilities were to incorporate TWA customer service procedures and policies for the regional carrier as well as transition the Operations department from a Part 135 operation to a Part 121 operation.
Peter holds FAA licenses as a Flight Dispatcher and a private pilot with an instrument rating.
Peter's focus incorporates a high level of customer service and operational expertise. This experience is evident when issues such as weather, ATC delays or mechanicals impact air charter operations. Finding ways to solve these irregularities as well as keeping the client well informed so that the right decisions can be made is critical to the task of completing a successful mission and has been the foundation of CharterSearch's success.
